From the outside, the brain doesn't look like much. But inside, it is bigger than it appears. It controls the smallest autonomous bodily functions and experiences the greatest emotions. It devises strategies, is altruistic, and, last but not least, it makes us who we are. Biology, psychology, philosophy – no other object known to us is as diverse. And so the brain is one thing above all else: a miracle.
