Neuroscience Research Center - Basic research on mechanisms underlying brain functions and dysfunctions
We aim to unravel signal cascades of normal and pathological brain activities using electical and optical recording techniques as well as molecular and genetic approaches.
We want to contribute to find possibilities of intervention that could lead to cure neurological and psychiatric disorders like developmental disturbances, multipe sclerosis and focal epilepsies.
Our work groups are part of the NeuroCure cluster of excellence, an interdisciplinary consortium uniting neuroscientists, basic researchers and clinicans on one campus.
